Katherine Elizabeth Mason of El Dorado Hills received a B.A. degree in journalism and public relations from the University of Oregon.Thomas Anderson of Folsom earned a doctorate in physical therapy in May from Marquette University Graduate School of Health Sciences.Jacob Wise, a graduate of Folsom High School, was recently featured as a soloist at the high school's spring awards concert. His joined the symphony in playing the "Saint Saens Cello Concerto."Wise began his musical career on the violin in fourth grade, but then switched to cello in the sixth grade. He has studied with Horatio (Ray) Edens.In addition to his cello studies and performances, Wise took advance placement courses.He participated in an exchange program in France and was an active member of the Key Club. Wise served as a mentor to Folsom High freshmen as one of the school's Link Crew members.He is a lifetime member of the California Scholarship Federation and a member of the National Honor Society.Wise has been accepted to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and plans to major in materials engineering or chemistry and minor in music.His sister, Alyssa Wise, was one of the Folsom students to receive a Kikkoman scholarship for a six-week summer stay in Japan through Youth for Understanding.She left in June and stayed with a host family to learn about their culture and share information about the American way of life.Michelle Theresa Morris of Folsom was named to the President's Honor Roll for the spring semester at Washington State University.Brittany McKenzie, 17, of El Dorado Hills, was named Miss Teen El Dorado 2006 during the El Dorado County Fair in June.She is a student at Oak Ridge High School.Lindsay Gardner, a freshman at Linfield College in McMinnville, Ore. has been named to the Dean's List for the spring semester.Senior Airman Bryce Wadell, 9th Civic Engineer Squadron Operations Management Apprentice, has been named 8th Air Force Airman of the Year.The Folsom resident served in Iraq from January through July 2005 and is employed in civil engineering management on base.He was honored for his work ethic and his volunteer work with the Red Cross and as a young men's counselor for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.He and his wife, Corrinne Johnson, have a 2-year-old son, Tyler, and a second child in July.Artwork by El Dorado Hills resident Judy Arrigotti is now being offered at Hang It Up Custom Framing & Gallery in El Dorado Hills.Arrigotti is well known throughout northern California and beyond for her gourd creations. She is the featured artist in the book, "The Complete Book of Gourd Carving."Recently, she has started working in oil on canvas. The art, which reflects her love of the area and its wildlife, are now being shown at the gallery.Cheryl A. Lagana has received the "Certified Fraud Examiner" (CFE) designation from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.This designation is given only to select professionals who meet a stringent set of criteria, including character, experience and education. Melissa Bell, CCAM, and Mary Hedding, CCAM, both community association managers at Kocal Management Group of Folsom, have been honored with Vision Awards from the California Association of Community Managers. The awards were presented to Bell and Hedding at CACM's annual awards ceremony, which recognizes the professional accomplishments of California's community association managers. Bell received the organization's prestigious "President's Award," while Hedding was presented with the group's "Spirit Award." The awards were given in recognition of the executives' longtime service to CACM as well as their commitment to education within the community association management industry. Ron R. Perkins, P.E., has joined HDR as Northern California construction services manager based in the firm's Folsom office.Perkins will lead HDR's Northern California construction services group on water, waste water and transportation related projects. Prior to joining HDR, he was a project manager with Sacramento Regional Transit District for the $256 Million Amtrak/Folsom Corridor Light Rail Transit Expansion Project. He has more than 20 years of public and private infrastructure design and construction management experience. Folsom resident Jing Ma continues to move up the ranks within Market America's Unfranchise System.Ma has moved up to the Executive Coordinator level as an independent distributor for Market America, an innovative product brokerage and Internet marketing company.Ma's achievement to this new level signifies success in sales, leadership and management in motivating and training other distributors to do the same.Ma became eligible for this new level after completing the coordinator as well as successfully building a base of customers and a sales organization that consistently achieves a high level of product sales on a monthly basis.Ma has been an independent distributor for Market America since May 2005 and remains committed to reaching higher levels within the system.
