Swart is great father, principal and candidate

Father's Day is approaching fast. Around this time of year I'm reminded of capable men that have made a difference in my life and the lives of my children. I would like to honor one at this time. David Swart was my principal at Rock Creek School where I was a kindergarten teacher for the school year 1995/1996. A crisis developed in my life. I walked into his office, a broken person. He gave me respect by taking time out of his busy schedule to listen to me. The empathy he felt for my situation was reflected in his eyes. He did what he could for me. Thank you, David Swart. Swart is an awesome father. Even with his busy schedule I've seen him rush out of his office at the end of his day to meet with his oldest son for a tennis game. Many times I've sat with him and his wonderful wife at soccer games while we supported our children. Swart is running for Placer County superintendent of schools. We need him. As a teacher I need him because he is kind, honest and fair. As a parent, I need him because he will work to give my child his best. Check out his Web site: www.davidswart.com/. The dinner and auction sponsored by Placer Savings Bank, Oshetski Orthodontics and The Ridge provided the foundation an opportunity to recognize the contributions of parents, community members and businesses.Major financial contributors to the foundation recognized at the event included 25 individual donors, business sponsors: Winchester Country Club, Granite Bank, American Caulking Inc., Harris Painting and Decorating, and over 100 businesses.
