Shelley Melissa Sampson of Truckee and Gawayne Vaughan of Auburn were married June 24, 2006 in Truckee, by Mike and Shawn Sampson (father and brother of the bride).The bride graduated from Truckee High School in 2001 and Point Loma Nazarene University, San Diego, in 2006. She is employed by YMCA of Redlands.Her parents are Mike and Karen Sampson.The groom graduated from Placer High School in 2000, Point Loma Nazarene University, San Diego, in 2004 and is currently attending Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda.His parents are David and Karen Vaughan of Auburn.The bride's maid of honor was Mackenzie Sampson and matron of honor was Stacey Palmer, sisters of the bride.Bridesmaids were Jill Woodward (friend) of Oakhurst, Natalie Thomas (friend) of Fresno.The best man was Jonathan Vaughan (brother) of Auburn.Groomsmen-ushers were Gary Vaughan (brother) of Auburn, Joshua Vaughan (brother) of Auburn, Nik Dragojlovic (friend) of San Diego and Ross Byers (friend) of Rocklin.The flower girls were Abby Vaughan (groom's cousin) and Paige Palmer (bride's niece).The ringbearer was Caleb Sampson (the bride's nephew).The couple honeymooned in Port Townsend, Wash., and they now live in Loma Linda.
