Journal Staff WriterThe boyfriend of Justine Vanderschoot was arrested Wednesday night along with his roommate on suspicion of murdering the 17-year-old Christian Valley girl whose body was found Thursday in Applegate.The arrests of Danny Bezemer, 18, and Brandon Fernandez, 21, a friend who lived at the same Auburn apartment, followed searches and interviews undertaken Wednesday by the Placer County Sheriff?s Department and agents of the FBI?s Sacramento office.Det. Bob McDonald said it?s believed Vanderschoot was murdered soon after she was reported missing following dinner at her home Labor Day with her family and Bezemer. McDonald said it?s believed Justine met voluntarily with the two suspects. He said he could not comment on a motive for the alleged murder.The two suspects are being held without bail at the county jail in Auburn. They are scheduled to be arraigned today.?They will be charged with the murder of Justine Vanderschoot,? Sheriff Ed Bonner said.Don Vanderschoot, the father of the teenage girl, said Thursday, ?We have an end to our saga. We have found Justine and she is no longer with us.?Vanderschoot said of the suspects that, ?I don?t know that they have admitted anything.?I do know that the information they gave led officers to her whereabouts,? he said.Justine?s body was found Thursday in a wooded area in Applegate several miles east of Interstate 80 off Boole Road.Don Vanderschoot said suspect Bezemer feared the end of his relationship with Justine. The two teenagers had talked of an engagement but no formal announcement had been made.?I believe he knew that it was going to fade away,? Vanderschoot said. ?She was seeing the light as to perhaps what type of person he was.?Vanderschoot said that if Bezemer is found guilty for killing Justine that the death penalty would be appropriate. ?It?s fine with me,? Vanderschoot said.?I want the full extent of the law,? he said. ?If he?s responsible I want him prosecuted ? to go to hell.?Colfax resident Michaela Jamison, 16, said to be Justine?s best friend, believes the Christian Valley youth wasn?t sure about her relationship with Bezemer.?Towards the end she, I think, got kind of tired of him,? Jamison said.Fernandez, the second murder suspect, worked in the downtown Auburn computer firm Ascendance. The Web site for the company lists Fernandez as vice president. Don Vanderschoot said that his daughter met Bezemer through Fernandez about two years ago at a barbecue and swim party at the Vanderschoots? home.The search for Justine began after her parents discovered her missing from the family home in Christian Valley.
