Del Oro boots Woodcreek, stays in second in SFL

The Del Oro boys soccer team maintained its hold on second place in the Sierra Foothill League with a 6-0 rout of visiting Woodcreek on Tuesday.Ben Miller had a hat trick and Alejandro Garibaldo three assists for Del Oro (3-1, 8-3-4).Miller opened the scoring in the sixth minute, and Cory Goodale scored in the 35th minute for a 2-0 halftime lead. In the second half, Josh Zimbrich scored and Miller added another three minutes later. Nick Martini scored off a clear from sweeper Kenton Trigger, then set up a Miller goal.Brandon Brooks, who played 60 minutes, and Chad Roy recorded the shutout.Golden Sierra 3, Encina 2 at Garden Valley ?
