Del Oro golfers headed to Sections

ROSEVILLE ? The Del Oro Lady Golden Eagles golf team continues to have a great season as they advanced to the Sac-Joaquin Section tournament as a team after taking fourth place overall at the North Sac-Joaquin Sub Section at Sierra View Country Club Monday.The Lady Eagles finished with a team score of 481? Oak Ridge won the event with a 441, followed by Rio Americano with a 456 and Loretto with a 469. Leading the way for Del Oro was senior Jenny Condensa, who shot an 86 on the par 73 course, she was followed by fellow senior Alexis Volen, who shot an 89. Hillary Coppin shot a 100, Kati Mott a 102, Sarah Westlake a 104 and Sarah Walden a 119. For Placer, the Lady Hillmen?s season came to end as they finished in eighth place with a team score of 524. Carly Mattson had a the best score of the day with a 97, followed by Holly Sheppard with a 102, Breanna Furlong a 103, Molly Sasek a 106, Breanne Patton a 116 and Rachel Beress a 121. Del Oro will now travel to Del Rio Country Club in Modesto next Monday for the Sac-Joaquin Section tournament starting at 9 a.m..
