Miriam Estell Rains Oreno

Miriam Estell Rains Oreno, age 99, died February 24, 2004 in Winnemucca, Nevada. Formally a resident of Foresthill, California, Miriam moved to Winnemucca in 1999. Miriam was an avid gardner and a talented artist. Her home was a haven for family and friends and she was loved by all.She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Minnie Rains, her husband Mike Oreno, her son Jack Oreno, her sisters Margaret Finning, Eleanor James, Edith Baker, Iris Berlin and brother Edward Rains. She is survived by her daughter Lorraine Putnam, son-in-law Scott Putnam, daughter-in-law Phyllis Oreno, sister-in-law Frances Rains and brother-in-law Ross Berlin. Grandchildren Jerry Putnam, Ginger Gabiola, Michael Oreno,Jeff Putnam, Jackie Oreno, Penny Peterson and Tim Oreno. She has tengreat grandchildren, and ten great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be scheduled in the spring at Foresthill, California.
