Junior Hillmen Cheer to compete in Las Vegas

The Placer Junior Hillmen Cheerleaders will be competing Feb. 7-11 at the Jamz Nationals in Las Vegas.Since July PJH cheerleaders have spent three to five days a week practicing and cheering at PJH football games in preparation for competing at a national level event. Though three PJH squads qualified for nationals at a regional competition in Roseville, those squads will combine into one in order to be more competitive at nationals.PJH has not participated in a national cheerleading event in more than six years and is asking the local community for financial support. PJH plans to send 23 cheerleaders at a cost of $500 per cheerleader.Those interested in making donations should contact PJH cheer coordinator Erica Valliere at (530) 906-3664 or assistant cheer coordinator Marcie Trabakoolas at (530) 363-0282.
