After making a large purchase such as buying a new vehicle, it's important to get it serviced regularly so it will perform properly and last a long time. To let potential customers know what the local auto dealers' service centers offer, we're profiling Auburn-area dealerships' service departments. Below is the sixth in a series of question-and-answer profiles. We have the most advanced on-board computer diagnostic scan tool along with computerized alignment and tire/balance equipment.Can I get a smog check there and what is the cost?Yes. The smog check is $59.99 and $8.25 for the certificate. We do not charge extra for the evaporation test on 1995 and older vehicles. For the month of April smogs will be $29.95 plus certificate.What's the most advanced equipment you have? The Toyota Tech Stream On-Board Diagnostic Information Scan Tool retrieves vital information to aid in determining the source of the problem. We can also access all of the computers on both hybrids and conventional vehicles.How big is your service area and how many vehicles can you accommodate?With our new addition we have 24 service stalls and service 50 to 80 vehicles per day.How many technicians, service advisers, and other personnel do you have in your department?We have a staff of 22 technicians, seven service advisors and nine support staff.Do you have any specially certified technicians? How many and what are their specialties in?Yes, we have five master diagnostic technicians and master technicians that are certified to perform all repairs on all of Toyota's hybrid vehicles.Do you have a quick lube department and how long does an oil change take and what does it cost?We have an express lube for $29.95 that is guaranteed in 29 minutes or less. Our lube department has five trained lube specialists that will get your oil change and lube done in 30 to 40 minutes for $24.95 to $34.90, depending on your model.Do you have a detail business with service, and if so what services does it offer?We have a car wash with every service or repair and a luxury car wash with every major service.What services do you provide that other garages might not have?We can address every aspect of all Toyota models including Smart-Key; tire pressure warning systems; secondary restraint system and hybrid diagnostics; Bluetooth; and custom Z-80 electronics systems.Do you have a courtesy shuttle service for customers who drop their cars off?Yes we do. We have a courtesy shuttle that will take you to work or home from 7 a.m to 6 p.m. six days a week. We also offer a free loaner car on any 30,000-, 60,000- or 90,000-mile major service.
