March 8 Heather Lyn Johnson, 47, of Nevada City was cited at Bowman Road and Old Airport Road in North Auburn on suspicion of trespassing on railroad property and giving false ID information to a deputy. Kyla Hanson, a 22-year-old Auburn transient, was arrested on Bowman Road in Bowman on warrants and suspicion of meth possession. March 7 Kenneth Anthony Higgins, 56, of Carmichael was cited on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. The citation was issued at Highway 65 and Galleria Boulevard outside Roseville. March 6 John Matthew Waters, 36, of Yuba City was arrested on suspicion of possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. The arrest took place on Rock Springs Road in Penryn. March 5 Elliot Winston Black, 29, and Amber Jean Lloyd, 27, both of Grass Valley, were arrested on suspicion of possession of 100 pounds of cannabis for sales, manufacturing butane hash oil and possession of an unregistered loaded revolver in the commission of a felony. The arrest took place at Baron Road and Douglas Boulevard in Granite Bay after a traffic stop for a lighting-equipment violation. Erin Lindsay Gallegly, 33, of Auburn was arrested on warrants and suspicion of driving with a suspended license. The arrest came after Gallegly's vehicle passed a marked patrol car on Interstate 80 at Lincoln Way, traveling at an estimated 85 mph. March 3 Bruce Wayne Taylor, 59, address unknown, was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public and resisting during the arrest. He was taken into custody on Taylor Road in Loomis. A 14-year-old North Auburn male was arrested on suspicion of robbery. A handgun was reportedly displayed to a 12-year-old boy as a threat to gain entry to a 3700-block Galena Drive home in North Auburn. Marijuana, a bong, an Xbox and a box cutter were stolen, the Sheriff's Office said. Andrew Wyatt Salazar, 23, of Roseville was arrested on suspicion of evading authorities and hit-and-run driving. The arrest followed a chase in the Douglas Boulevard-Sierra College Boulevard area that started with an attempt to pull a 1994 Lincoln Town Car over for an expired plate. Speeds reached 90 mph in the rain. The car crashed into a cement island but continued on until spike strips were deployed. Salazar was also taken into custody on a parole violation allegation. March 2 In what the Sheriff's Office is describing as an "organized retail theft," three women with hoods over their heads walked into Walgreens, 40151 Douglas Blvd. in Granite Bay and walked out with $1,626 in stolen Oil of Olay products less than a minute later. The thefts happened after a Sacramento Walgreens had warned that the group had done the same thing there. A window was broken and $4,000 in losses were reported during a burglary in the 5800-block of Saint Francis Court in Loomis. Jose Carl Smith, 39, of Sacramento, was arrested on suspicion of prowling. The arrest happened just after 1 a.m. on Roseville's Riesling Drive. A residential burglary was reported in the 5000-block of Granite Bay's Westbury Circle. March 1 Timothy John Pulley, a 27-year-old Rocklin transient, was arrested on suspicion of prowling, possession of meth and possession of heroin. The arrest took place in the 6800-block of Granite Bay's Highland Road. Patricia Cheshier, 62, of Sacramento, was arrested for indecent exposure and being drunk in public. The arrest occurred in the 300-block of Colfax's Canyon Way. Feb. 28 A window was broken to burglarize a home in the 5800-block of Wedgewood Drive in Granite Bay. Feb. 27 A theft suspect at Home Depot in North Auburn revealed a knife and threatened to stab a store employee after being confronted over stolen items outside the business. The suspect got away. He was described as six-feet tall and 190 pounds. The getaway vehicle was a black Chevrolet Silverado pickup. Feb. 25 Eighteen doormats worth $1,331 were stolen from Vian Enterprises, 1501 Industrial Drive in North Auburn.
