Arrest after shots fired, school lockdown; Dollar Tree parking lot rampage; More

Information comes from Placer County Sheriff's Office reports. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty. Charges may be changed or dropped. March 21 Charles Jacob Brockman, 28, of Auburn was cited during a vehicle stop at Highway 49 and Engelage Place in Auburn on suspicion of possession of meth and two pipes. March 20 Rob Bobby Williams, 55, of Sheridan was arrested on suspicion of discharging a firearm within 1,000 feet of a school and negligent discharge of a firearm. Four shots were fired in the direction of the school but no one was injured. The school was placed in lockdown during the incident. Williams told investigators that he fired the gun with the intention of upsetting his spouse, the Sheriff's Office reported. March 19 Auburn Recreation District reported someone broke into a bathroom and took a shower at Regional Park in North Auburn. Cost of the broken lock is $150. The breaking and showering incident is believed to be transient-related. A window was broken with a rock and a lock was cut to break into Riego Market on Pleasant Grove Road in Elverta, which is part of the Sheriff's Office patrol area. A total of $320 in cigarettes was stolen. Thomas Julian Nelson, 39, of Citrus Heights, was arrested on suspicion of breaking windows and a mirror on a truck belonging to a female transient during a confrontation in the Dollar Tree parking lot in the 2100-block of North Auburn's Grass Valley Highway. Damage was estimated at $500. Shelby Nicole Nunes, 26, of Auburn was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting $746 in merchandise from North Auburn's Target store. Angel Joseph Carrion, a 24-year-old transient, was arrested outside the county's Juvenile Detention Center in North Auburn on suspicion of giving a false name and date of birth to a deputy investigating a report at 12:36 a.m. of someone looking into cars. A fingerprint scanner determined Carrion's true identity. March 18 Mary Elizabeth Perry, 36, of Sacramento and Jeremy Monroe Smith, 34, of Citrus Heights, were arrested on suspicion of possession of heroin, cocaine and meth for the purpose of sales. The stop was for allegedly speeding and came on Sunset Boulevard and South Loop Road outside Rocklin. March 17 Devon Cole Porteous, a 27-year-old Auburn transient, was arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed knife and driving with front-facing red and blue lights on his vehicle. The arrest took place at Foresthill Road and Drivers Flat Road between Auburn and Foresthill. March 15 A vehicle burglary was reported in the 9400-block of Granite Bay's Treelake Road. The window was expected to cost $500 to fix. The stolen gym bag was valued at $100. A window was broken to steal $500 in property from a vehicle parked in the 4500-block of Granite Bay's Camden Court. Mail theft was reported in the 4800-block of Granite Bay's Waterbury Way. A unlocked Jeep parked in the 9600-block of Granite Bay's Swan Lake Drive had $45 in property stolen from inside. March 12 A firearm valued at $820 was stolen from a transient camp in the Go For Broke Road area near the Bill Santucci Justice Center outside Roseville. March 8 Gates were bent and moved at a 3800-block Loomis Road property owned by the town of Loomis. Repairs on the vandalized gates were expected to cost $150. March 6 An energy drink that may have been tossed by the perpetrator was being held as evidence in a burglary case. A 500-block Millertown Road home in rural Auburn was broken into between Feb. 26 and March 6. A total of $2,170 in property was missing.
