Getting to the art of the matter

A sneak preview of art featured at May's art walk can be viewed at a Downtown bakery. The group, the North Auburn Artists, have pieces of work on display at Baked & Brewed on Lincoln Way. The mini art show features 13 artists and will be on exhibit now until May 16. The following North Auburn Artists are participating in the Baked & Brewed Preview Show: Patty Pieropan Dong, Jennifer Johnson, Cathy Cline, Barbra Paitich, Paul Harman, Sonja Hamilton, Barbara Ann Chestnutt, Nancy Polli, Diane Wood, Diane Tharp, LouCinda Laughlin, David Crosby, and Nicholson van Altena Glass. "This show is made up of a diverse and varied sampling of artwork created by the North Auburn Artists," said a news release. "The North Auburn Artists bring their own unique style to each medium making this preview show an exciting and vibrant collection of art work." The Auburn Art Walk is May 9. However, the opportunities for local art viewing does not stop there. During Mother's Day weekend, May 11 and 12, there is an art studios tour for the North Auburn group.
