Barbara Ann Gray Johnson 5/8/1947 - 4/25/2019

Barbara Ann Gray Johnson, 71, passed peacefully in her home in South Jordan, UT, surrounded by her family on Thursday evening, April 25, 2019 after battling cancer. She was born May 8, 1947 in Portland, Oregon to Deldon Lamar and Marie (Nelson) Gray.Barbara married Van R. Johnson on August 30, 1967. They had seven children, 30 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson. She lived most of her adult life in Loomis, California with her husband and children.Barbara was a true friend to all and spent her life in love and devotion to her family and others. She had a true gift of painting, decorating, and saw the beauty in all things. She was always working to improve things around her and always had a project going.She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and fulfilled many service callings through the years, including seminary teacher, missionary, and temple worker.She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter Alisha Johnson; brother Deldon Lamar Gray Jr.Survivors include, her husband Van R Johnson; children Jerilyn (Darren) Butterfield, Daron (Staci) Johnson, Bryan (Trish) Johnson, Devan (Kim) Johnson, Deldon (Karen) Johnson, Jashel (Ryan) Euer; 30 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; siblings Donna (Mick) Frame, Delmar (Luann) Gray, Douglas (Pam) Gray, Richard (Gayle) Gray, Kenneth (Rebecca) Gray, and Jolene (Ken) Krahenbuhl.Funeral proceedings and burial were in Utah.A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, May 18th at 2:00pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Loomis Chapel, 3345 Margaret Drive, Loomis, CA 95650.
