Community walk of remembrance planned for accident victim

This Sunday, Sept. 22, the family and friends of accident victim Joshua Bohart have organized a remembrance walk and are welcoming members of the community to join them as they honor him near the area in which he tragically lost his life earlier this week. Shortly after 12 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 16, Bohart, 20, was involved in a single-vehicle accident on E. Natoma Street, near the intersection of Harvest Loop. Details or the cause of the accident are still under investigation while the family and friends of the Folsom resident are planning to remember the former Vista del Lago High School graduate and Folsom Lake College student. In August of 2017, many in the community came to know Bohart when he was featured in the Folsom Telegraph and on numerous news stations across the country as he sought to locate those related to some historical photos he acquired after purchasing a vintage camera from a Folsom thrift store. Bohart's efforts and his passion to return the images to their rightful owner or family engaged many locally and afar. At 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, the Bohart family is welcoming anyone who would like to join in the Walk of Remembrance. The walk will assemble near the corner of the south entrance of Harvest Loop and E. Natoma Street and will begin at 6:15 p.m. Participants will walk one block north of the intersection and will commence at the site of the accident where Bohart's vehicle struck a tree. "We invite all to join us in Josh's beloved memory. His beautiful heart touched many," said the Bohart family as they announced the planned walk. "We will bring joy and love to a place that now holds such sadness."
