EDH brunch eatery expanding to Palladio

A popular El Dorado Hills brunch spot has been so successful, it's now expanding into Folsom. Friends with Benedicts has announced it will soon be opening its second location in Folsom's Palladio at Broadstone. The brunch restaurant first opened its doors in El Dorado Hills back in 2017, and is set to fill the vacant space that was most recently occupied by Grist Beer Hall, which closed in 2019. "We are very excited to have Friends with Benedicts here at Palladio," said Palladio General Manager Gloria Wright. The Palladio site is expected to open in the spring, according to an official Facebook announcement from the eatery. Friends with Benedicts has been in local headlines in the past. Back in 2018, The Mimosa House filed a lawsuit against Friends with Benedicts, alleging trademark infringement. Early Morning Inc., which operates The Mimosa House, filed the suit against Eliud Moreno and EO United LLC, owners of Friends with Benedicts for using the name "Mimosa House" on their signage and branding. The case is still reportedly under review.
