Longtime EDH restaurant to close

They were one of the early eateries to come into the El Dorado Hill Town Center, and this weekend, they are saying farewell. Sizzling Fresh Mongolian BBQ is closing its doors Jan. 26. According to their recent announcement on social media, the grill will fire up one last time Jan. 26 inside the longtime eatery that resides just below the popular Regal Cinemas on the eastern end of the center. "It is with a heavy heart that we announce that we will be closing our doors," reads the announcement. Operators of the establishment have been unavailable for further comment, releasing very little details about the closure. Sizzling Fresh has been in the El Dorado Hills Town Center was among the early eateries in the center, opening back in 2007. At Sizzling Fresh, guests customize their meals by selecting ingredients such as meats, vegetables and sauces. Meals are cooked on a Mongolian grill and served in bowls. Restaurants throughout the region are facing many challenges such as rising costs, labor shortages and more competition. The announcement from Sizzling Fresh follows the recent closure of Ruffhaus Hot Dog Co. in the El Dorado Hills Town Center and Osteria Moto, who closed in November after opening for one year in the former Bistro 33 location. As Town Center loses tenants, it is also gaining them, Chando's Cantina, Brickyard Counter & Bar, Thai Paradise EDH and Nibblers Popcorn Company are all newcomers to the center in the last several months. The former Chili's location just outside the theater remains vacant at this time.
