Mitchell Fred Matcovsky 2/4/1947 - 3/24/2020

After a 2 year long and brave battle with ALS, Mitchell Fred Matcovsky, born on February 4, 1947 in Brooklyn N.Y. passed away in Rocklin, CA on March 24, 2020 at the age of 73. Mitch passed with his loving wife Sylvia Matcovsky, and his dear daughter Michele Rose by his side in his home. He is preceded in death by his parents Abraham and Rose Matcovsky, and his brother Gerald. Mitch is survived by his wonderful family, wife Sylvia; daughter Michele (Butch); grandchildren Jeremy (Heather), Jessica (Danny) and Alexander; as well as his 5 great grandchildren, and his niece Roseanne and nephew Philip. Mitch inspired friends and family with his kind, fun, hardworking, humorous, accomplished, intelligent, loving, and devoted personality. He loved to learn, go to concerts (Hendrix was his favorite), and travel and have a good time wherever he may be. Mitch was very close to his family, and was an inspiration to them all. He worked hard and liked to enjoy life and made sure to show that to all around him. A memorial celebration of this special man will be held in the future due to the current public health conditions and concerns. A "Toast to Celebrate Mitch" was held in each loved ones home at 11 am April 19, 2020.
