Carol Reavis 12/20/1919 - 3/26/2020

It is with great sadness that I let go of Mom's hand as she took the hand of God. Carol Reavis, a longtime resident of Meadow Vista, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 26, 2020. She is survived by her daughters Karen and Jan; grandsons Adam and Justin; great grandchildren Aubree, Adelyn, Jack and Parker; also her beloved cat Socks. Born December 20, 1919 in Groton, Massachusetts to Renald and Lillian Fernald, Carol traveled across country in a Model T Ford to settle in San Leandro, California. It is there that she met and married Kenneth Reavis on November 10, 1939. Upon retirement, they bought property and built their forever home in Meadow Vista. Carol was a huge Kings fan, supporting the fight to keep the team in Sacramento by displaying a large sign at the game reading "I'm 93… don't take the Kings away from me." (that got her on the TV evening news) She also loved going to the theater and was a ticket subscriber to the B St Theater in Sacramento. But her greatest joy was her family, whether it was attending her great granddaughters' piano recitals, going on a boat cruise on Lake Combie, or sitting around a big burn pile on her property. She looked forward to our weekly "Sunday Supper", when our family gathered to share highlights and lowlights of everyone's week. "G.G." as her great granddaughters called her, always would say, "I have no lowlights." She was a gift to us. We will always remember and celebrate the life she lived, the love she shared and the difference she made in our lives. Love you and miss you so much Mom. You will forever live in our hearts until we meet again in Heaven.A celebration of life is planned for later in the year when we can once again gather and celebrate a life well lived.
