Mary Louise Duarte Jacinto 12/15/1930 - 9/5/2020

In loving memory of Mary Louise Duarte Jacinto, of Auburn, California, who joined our Lord on September 5, 2020, at the age of 89, with her family by her side. She was born to Joseph Duarte and Maria de Gloria Alves Duarte, December 15, 1930, at their home in Ophir, California.Mary married her childhood friend turned sweetheart, Manuel Lewis (Louie) Jacinto, on February 6, 1949. They attended Ophir Elementary and Placer High School together where Mary, as a Placer High School cheerleader, rooted for her sweetheart at football games.With family to help him, Louie built Mary their home on Wise Rd. in Ophir, where they resided for 71 years and raised their three daughters.Mary always made sure Louie had home cooked meals waiting for him when he came home from running the family pear ranch. Mary took pride in caring for the family home, making sure things were sparkly clean. The love she had for her flower garden was reflected in how she lovingly placed and nurtured each and every one.Mary had a way of making everyone feel special. With a kind word or gentle touch, she gave you her full attention, listening intently to every word you had to say. Her caring ways were also reflected in the way she opened her heart and home to any stray or injured critter.Mary is survived by her devoted husband Manuel (Louie) Jacinto; loving brother, Edward Duarte; daughters, Debbie Marie Jacinto Heilmann, of Nevada City; Elaine Rose Jacinto Davis, of Elk Grove; and LouAnn Jacinto VanVoorhis, of Folsom. Her sons-in-law, Jeff Heilmann and Donn Davis; her grandsons, Scott Heilmann (wife Mica); Justin Heilmann (wife Heather); Brandonn Davis; and Dustin Davis (wife Viana). Great-grandsons, Taylor, Blake, and Jacob Heilmann, and Great-granddaughter, Holly Rose Heilmann.Mary was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Maria Duarte, and brothers Joe, Frank, and George Duarte.Mary always told Louie he was her rock, but Louie disagreed and said she was his. She will be truly missed by all.The family will delay a Celebration of Life until a time when it is safer to gather in person.
