Tough week for locals in NFL

The following is an update of the local players in the NFL from Week 10. Jordan Richards – Folsom/Ravens. The Ravens suffered a 23-17 loss to New England (4-5) on Sunday night, as Richards returned to his original home in the NFL. Richards was drafted by the Patriots in 2015 and played three seasons with the team. On Sunday night, Richards played 20-of-23 plays on special teams. The Ravens, 6-3 on the season and now three games behind rival Pittsburgh, get set to host the Titans (6-3) on Sunday in a big game in the AFC. Ross Dwelley – Oak Ridge/49ers. The 49ers fell to 4-6 on the season after Sunday's 27-13 loss at New Orleans (7-2). Dwelley started his third straight game and played 37 plays at tight end, but only had two balls thrown his way, catching one for 22 yards. In comparison, backup tight end Jordan Reed played six less plays yet saw four more passes comes his way than Dwelley, catching five for 62 yards. Dwelley also got in on 11 of 28 plays on special teams. The 49ers have a bye week this week. Jonah Williams – Folsom/Bengals. Williams missed his second straight game with a neck stinger, as the Bengals (2-6-1) lost to the unbeaten Steelers (9-0), 36-10. While Williams was in uniform, he was only available per emergency, according to the Bengals website. Despite the absence of Williams, the team's first round draft pick in 2019, the offensive line played fairly well, all things considered. Quarterback Joe Burrow was sacked four times against the Steelers, who lead the NFL with 36 sacks. Burrow completed 21-of-40 passes for 213 yards and a touchdown. The Bengals also rushed for 139 yards on 21 carries. The Bengals will travel to face the Washington Football team (2-7) on Sunday.
