Roseville PD reopens 2013 missing person case

The Roseville Police Department announced Wednesday that Detective Dave Harlan is reopening the cold case of Susan Jacobson, who went missing from a Raley's in May 2013. Jacobson disappeared from the Raley's grocery store located at 4051 Woodcreek Oaks Blvd. and was never heard from again, according to Roseville Police. Jacobson was 59 years old and a Sun City Roseville resident when she disappeared and was last seen by her husband the morning of her disappearance, according to Roseville Police. At the time of her disappearance, the Roseville Police Department said, Jacobson was 4 feet, 11 inches tall, weighed approximately 90 pounds and had shoulder length dark brown hair. According to Harlan, the case has been reopened in hopes that more modern investigating technology can help find more information about Jacobson's disappearance. "We have decided to reopen this case because the longer a case goes unsolved, the more challenging it becomes to find fresh evidence or new leads," Harlan said. "My job is to look deep into small nuances or use new and modern technology to uncover new leads to push forward." Harlan has been assigned to nine investigations in his 25-year career with the Roseville Police Department and has received specialized training as a cold case detective, according to Roseville Police on Wednesday
