Marian L. Mercado 11/6/1957 - 5/29/2021

Our beloved Marian lost her battle with liver cancer on May 29,2021. She passed surrounded by her Family. It was a short, hard battle but she battled to the end. Heaven has received an amazing Angel and she is now with our Dad Tony Mercado. We're positive they are going to grow an amazing garden together. Marian lived in Auburn Ca. where she bought her 1st home. She was so proud of her little house. She loved working outside in her yard. She graduated from Placer High school in 1975.She worked for Chapa-De- Indian Health and recently worked for UC Davis Medical Center in Auburn for 20 years. She loved her patients & her co-workers. Marian leaves behind an amazing group of Friends whom were all her family. Marian was an amazing softball player. Those who played with her will always remember her one of a kind stance & that crooked handled bat. She loved being outdoors, camping and road trips to Oklahoma. She loved looking at the clouds and was always taking pictures of them. She was proud to be a Walker River Paiute Indian and loved to drum. She enjoyed watching MONK & Medium. She was her own Handyman when it came to construction. Macgyver was definitely a nickname. She was BIG on conserving water, we've never known anyone who conserved water like her. She didn't like to waste anything!! She collected all kinds of recipes. We were sure when she retired she would be the next Great Chef. Marian was a generous, giving person. She always had time for you. She had a laugh that was so infectious, it will be hard not hearing her. Marian leaves behind Her Mother, Marian D. Mercado, Her 5 Sisters- Rosie McPherson (Bill). Delores Moug, Josie Sanchez(Rocky), Pam VanRonk(Cliff), & Susie Klingler. And 1 Brother, Bert Mercado(Melissa). Her Daughters Teresita Callen, Tella Hamilton & Toppy Callen. She was Grandma, Grammy & Ohma to her 10 beautiful grandchildren, Kyel, Jay, Malaciah, K'lib, Heaven, Tudus, Allet, Ayden, Bryce & Zahra. Also many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Neice's, Nephews & many friends. It's still hard to believe she is gone. We always thought we'd all grow old together. The family would like to thank Kaiser Hospital of Roseville for her wonderful care, and thank you to Auburn Faith for the compassion they showed to Marian and our family.Forever with the Angels. Your strength and strong will, will shine in me (us). You are always in our hearts. Miss you Wez.
