Michael Jon Apostolos 2/7/1968 - 8/14/2021

Michael Jon Apostolos, 53, passed away on August 14, 2021. Born February 7, 1968 to parents Tommy and Sandy Apostolos of Roseville, CA. Michael lived in Roseville for most of his life. He attended elementary and intermediate school at Roseville's Saint Rose Catholic Church, and later, Roseville High School.Mike chose construction as his life's work. He started off in residential framing and finish carpentry with his uncle's Rick and John Apostolos, where he learned the basics of the trade. He clearly had an aptitude for this line of work. He went on to become a framing superintendent for Mark McClure of I.M. Construction. Eventually he would gravitate to commercial framing where he was sought out by several companies. He would supervise his crew through the framing stage of many larger buildings, restaurants, and even a school. He was most proud of his work on these projects.Another source of pride was his family. He had the biggest heart, and was always available to lend a helping hand - you could always count on him. Mike loved food and would treat family members to dinner often. The start of his own family began when he met Tiffany Gardner. They became parents with the births of their sons Hunter and Jaxson. The boys did well scholastically and athletically, and were on the same team that went to the Utah State High School Football Championship. Mike was very proud of his sons as they grew into fine young men.The love of "nature" and outdoor activities came from his dad and grandpa Tommy. Mike and his brother Timmy were exposed to hunting and fishing early on. They tried to impart this appreciation to Mike's sons. Mike's other interests included riding his Indian motorcycle, off road biking and four wheeling, snowmobiling, catamaran sailing, crabbing, diving for abalone, trap shooting, and archery. He was exceptionally good at it all - he let us know it too! If he couldn't be out in the "wild", music was there to take him to his "happy place." His diverse tastes found him listening to Waylon Jennings and The Allman Brothers, and everything in between.Mike was preceded in death by his father Tommy Apostolos, his mother Sandy Apostolos; grandparents Tommy and Peggy Apostolos, Leo and Shirley Clark; uncles Jim Clark, Don Jones, Dan Schott, cousin Matt Schott and his son's grandmother, Dee Dee Gardner.Mike is survived by his sons Hunter and Jaxson Apostolos and their mother and grandfather, Tiffany Gardner and Daryl Gardner; brothers Tim and Nicolaus Apostolos, sister Melanie Apostolos, niece Macy Johnston and husband Paul, their children Kaiden, Tanner, Tage Rose, Cooper, and Isla Johnston, niece Samantha Kuykendal, god parents Diana Korte and John Apostolos, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.Mike's cremation will be handled by Chapel of the Valley of Roseville. Since Mike seemed most at home in the "wild," the family decided to spread half of his ashes at Bodega Bay, where Mike's father Tommy and grandmother Peggy rest in peace. An inurnment of his remaining ashes will be at the Roseville Public Cemetery. A "Celebration of Life" will be announced at a later date.
