Vista's Paracuelles advances to NorCal golf tourney

Meghan Paracuelles will represent Vista del Lago at the Northern California Golf Championships to be held Monday at Berkeley Country Club. Playing at the Sac-Joaquin Section Girls' Golf Masters tournament at The Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton on Monday, Paracuelles shot a 73 and one was of four individual qualifiers for the tournament along with Brenna Preap of Bear Creek (71), Amelia Garibaldi of Lodi (73) and Gabi Franco of Delta Charter (73). The top three teams advancing to NorCals from the Sac-Joaquin Section are Masters Champion Granite Bay, who shot a round of 384 to place first. Pleasant Grove (393) and Rodriguez (405) also qualified. Folsom's Saanvi Kotti and Nishka Modi also played in the tournament, shooting 75 and 95, respectively, with Kotti just missing out. Vista's Christine Yu also shot a 75 and missed the Nor-Cal tournament. Oak Ridge played in the Masters tournament as a team and shot a 435 to place seventh. Iliana Rubio led the team with a 73, while Haley Wong shot 75. Summer Dixon (91), Hannah Impey (95), Alysssa Dominguez (100) and Elizabeth Lin (114) also scored for the Trojans.
