Folsom Wine Festival pours Saturday, tickets available

Folsom will be home to a menagerie of well-known wine makers this Saturday, all of which will be pouring the fruits of their labor for guests at one of the city's most popular shopping destinations. The Greater Folsom Partnership is hosting the 2021 Foothill Wine Festival. This consumer- tasting experience is hosted at The Palladio, Folsom's premier shopping, dining and entertainment venue located at 410 Palladio Parkway in Folsom. Featuring more than 50 wineries from California's Sierra Foothill Wine Region, attendees will be able to choose from 300 wines being poured while enjoying live music and firepits in the covered outdoor setting. According to Jennifer Cliff, director of marketing and communications for the Greater Folsom Partnership, attendees will be introduced to the emerging wine region in their backyard that is producing award-winning wines in spectacular settings. The featured wineries participated in a wine judging event earlier this year and the winners will be spotlighted at this event. Judges included media, sommeliers and wine buyers from throughout California and Nevada. Festival guests can sip, compare and add their favorite wines to their holiday shopping list. Many regional wineries are family-owned small businesses that want to engage a new, local fanbase. Consumers can chat with winemakers and experience wine tasting with an expert. Kick off the holiday season with a new, local favorite wine. The event begins at 4 p.m. on Saturday and continues until 7 p.m. General admission will include a commemorative tasting glass, small bites and free parking. Prepaid general admission tickets are $65 per person or $110 for a couple. Tickets will be sold for $75 at the door (pending availability).
