Stalking Santa? Here is where he's heading Wednesday night in Folsom!

The Folsom Police Officers continued tradition this week as they escorted Santa Claus through numerous communities of Folsom. Santa was escorted by Folsom Police and the Folsom Fire Department along with Mrs Claus and their jolly elves. Santa is slated to roll into the following Folsom communities tonight (Wednesday, Dec. 8). After departing the Folsom Police Station at 5 p.m. tonight, Santa's entourage will be heading down Wales Drive to East Bidwell as they head for the Los Cerros community. Santa's first stop on the route tonight will be at the second segment of Limestone Drive. Additional scheduled stops on tonight's outing include the corner of Black Powder Circle and Woodsmoke Way then a stop at Kentfield Park. From there it's off to another stop at the intersection of Halidon Way ad Hewson Court. Midway through the route tonight they will stop at March Hawk Drive and 1st Sprig Circle followed by a visit to the Willow Hill Reservoir Community Park. Gold Ridge Elementary School will be the next stopping point. From there Santa heads further into Folsom Ranch where his final stopping point will be at the new Mangini Ranch School. Santa will make his final rounds on Thurday when he hits American River Canyon and Historic Folsom.Presented annually by the Folsom Police Officers Association with the help of numerous community volunteers and the Folsom Fire Department, the Santa Run has been a long tradition in Folsom as Santa and Mrs. Claus are escorted through the various neighborhoods by police and fire units, complete with flashing lights and plenty of blaring sirens to signal little ones as he enters their community. Along with the fun comes a food collection for the Twin Lakes Food Bank and the collection of new unwrapped toys for under l privileged children on the routel"We are excited to continue this tradition which parents can remember enjoying as kids growing up in Folsom," said Folsom Police Sgt. Brandon Monsoor, who has been part of this tradition ever since joining the department.
