Pavlo returns to Harris Center

One of the nation's renowned guitarists is performing in Folsom this weekend. Back by popular demand, Pavlo takes to the stage at Harris Center for the Arts located at Folsom Lake College this Sunday afternoon. For being all instrumental, Pavlo's Mediterranean music speaks for itself. Over the span of his 20-year career, Pavlo, an internationally award-winning recording artist, performer and songwriter, has released 15 albums that includes four PBS TV concert specials. Born in Toronto to Greek parents, Pavlo offers a musical amalgam he calls "Mediterranean music," a blend of Greek, flamenco, Latin and Balkan flavors wrapped in contemporary pop. His music has taken him throughout the world. Along the way, he has performed for royalty includingPrince Charles and worked and toured with artists such as José Feliciano, Jon Secada, Olivia Newton-John and The Tenors. Pavlo is currently on tour promoting his third PBS special "Live in Guadalajara, Mexico'' and is driven by his father's famous words, "Have the courage to do what you love and the drive to do it well." The Harris Center show opens his tour that will trek to Las Vegas next week. Sunday's performance begins at 2 p.m. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at www.folsomconcertassociation.org.
