Loomis chamber ready to take on 2022

The Loomis Basin Chamber of Commerce is looking to rebrand and revamp the organization with the goal of bettering their community and creating better experiences for their members, according to Frank Udvarhely. Udvarhely became the Loomis Basin Chamber of Commerce CEO last August. Udvarhely said that rebranding the organization includes "revamping all outreach platforms." "We are working on a chamber website that will include a membership directory and be more interactive for members," Udvarhely said. Another goal that Udvarhely identified for the chamber website is for community members to be able to order home deliveries from restaurants that are chamber members. To continue helping local businesses, Udvarhely also plans to convert the Loomis chamber store to an online format. In this store, business owners who are chamber members can sell merchandise as another form of earning profit. In the chamber store, community members can also sign up for chamber membership and shop for chamber memorabilia. "The ultimate goal of the store is to make it more of a convenience-one stop shop," Udvarhely said. Udvarhely wants to incorporate other forms of outreach, including widespread text messaging, email and postcards. Udvarhely has begun surveying chamber members and residents to see what they want and expect from the chamber. Udvarhely "is excited" for the annual Loomis Eggplant Festival and wants to find ways to modernize the festival while keeping community members engaged. Udvarhely is also planning to have at least four major annual events and to find more keynote speakers for the chamber's monthly "Coffee Connections" to keep participants networking and learning. Udvarhely said he is looking forward to joint mixers with area chambers. "We all share the same idea of focusing on what members feel is best and what they want," Udvarhely said. "This year is a great excuse to reinvent ourselves."
