Auburn State Theatre Acting Company puts on the hits for 6th anniversary

The magic of musical theatre will be presented on stage at the Auburn State Theatre this weekend, Jan. 22 and 23, as the State Theatre Acting Company celebrates its first six years in production by recreating favorite musical and dance numbers from its hit shows. Cast members will perform numbers from The Music Man, Sister Act, Annie, Young Frankenstein, Mamma Mia! (when the audience will be invited to sing along!) and our recent smash hit, The Drowsy Chaperone. The magic will be in full view as original costuming created by STAC's talented costume designer, Sharon Sciabica, will be back on stage. The fabulous, sequined and shimmering white nuns' habits from Sister Act to the rocking 70s disco outfits from Mamma Mia! will compete with Igor and the tap dancers from Young Frankenstein's "Puttin on the Ritz." STAC will also preview its upcoming musical Shrek, set for fall 2022.
