Leslie Rae Sipe (Michael) 12/18/1941 - 1/23/2022

Leslie Rae Sipe passed away on January 23, 2022 at the Abrazo West Hospital in Goodyear Arizona of congestive heart failure. She had just celebrated her 80th birthday in Auburn, CA a month earlier with family and friends. At the time of her passing she was surrounded by family and left peacefully. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sydney and Dorothy Michael, and husband Richard Sipe. A Placer High School graduate, Leslie was also a member of the Auburn Jeep Club, the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, a den mother, Cub Scout Leader, Registered Nurse, member of the Auburn Elk's Lodge, mother, wife, and grandmother of seven. Her hobbies included traveling, Creative Memories scrapbooking and genealogy. She was an active member of the Daughters of The American Revolution and former officer of the Exchange Club of Auburn. She is survived by husband Ted Smith, son Michael and his wife Debbie, and daughters Kelly and husband Cliff, Kristy and husband Richard; grandchildren David, Rebecca, Vanessa, Maegen, Erica, Nassia, and Amber; and great grandchildren Hudson, Holden, Sierra, Joseph, Alivia and Nolan.A celebration of life will be forthcoming; details to follow.
