Jugurtha (Jay) Walker Glenn IV 5/10/1945 - 1/22/2022

Jugurtha (Jay) Walker Glenn IV passed away on January 27, 2022 at the age of 76 in Wildomar, California. Jay was born on May 5, 1945 in Stockton, California to Walker and Dorothy Glenn, and then moved to Auburn, CA at the beginning of high school. Jay had an adventurous childhood. He and his sister (Marion Jo Entz) often spent time with their maternal grandparents who were great outdoorsmen. They would fish, hunt, and camp all along the Western United States and into British Columbia and Alaska. One of his favorite spots was on the Klamath River where he wants his final resting place to be. After graduating high school Jay joined the Air Force where he faithfully served for four years. It was during this time in the service that he felt the Lord reaching out to him and saying, "Try me and see if I am good" and he never looked back. He felt called to seek full time ministry and after discharge he attended Multnomah Bible School where he received his degree in Biblical Linguistics and his Master of Divinity. It was during this time that he met his first wife Anita (Miller) Glenn. The two would often hop on his Harley motorcycle and travel between Portland, OR and Auburn, CA where they eventually settled. Jay always loved his motorcycle and would ride until he was nearly 70. He even rigged it so that he could carry his golf bag on the back. He loved to golf, fish, travel, and go out to breakfast (Katrina's was one of his favorite spots). He was a great storyteller and was always thinking of things he could create or do. His quiet time was spent reading his Greek bible and he loved discussing with others about Godly doctrine. As a young man and adult, he lead quite a mischievous life and when he came to know the Lord he was so grateful for the mercy that was shown him. One of his favorite versus is found in James 2:13 "Mercy triumphs over judgment." He had the gift of mercy and was generous with forgiveness and love for the downtrodden. He was always willing to lend a hand and you never left as a friend but rather a brother. Jay was so loved and left a rich legacy. We thank the Lord for giving us such a kind and loving father, brother, husband, papa, great-grandfather and friend. You touched so many lives and will be forever missed. Jay is preceded in death by his first wife, Anita Glenn, his father, Jugurtha Walker Glenn the III, his mother Dorothy Glenn. He is survived by his beloved family, including his second wife of nearly 14 years Nancy (Lewis) Glenn; his sister and her husband, Marion Jo and Ken Entz; his children and their spouses, Autumn and Michael Rossi, BJ and Christa Glenn, Christina and Jeremy Baughman, Angela Wygal and Alicia Briggs, Tony and Lisa Lewis, Don and Jennifer Lewis and John Lewis, as well as 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that any donations that may want to be offered be made in memory of Jay to Child Evangelism Fellowship, a ministry that he served in and loved. CEF P.O.
