Inderkum High School student killed by driver in Rocklin Saturday

Inderkum High School senior Anthony Williams died Saturday night after a driver hit him in Rocklin. A vehicle struck Williams while he was walking on Lonetree Boulevard and Adams Drive about 8:30 p.m. Saturday, according to Rocklin Police. Williams was pronounced deceased by Sutter Roseville Medical Center as a result of his injuries, Rocklin Police said. The eastbound lanes of Lonetree Boulevard were shut down with one westbound lane on Lonetree open for up to four hours Saturday night for investigation, said Sgt. Neil Costa from the Rocklin Police Department. The Inderkum High School basketball team Williams played on posted a picture of Williams on its Instagram account Sunday with the caption, "Devastated by the loss of our family Anthony Williams. Please keep Anthony and all that love him in your hearts and prayers." "It appears like it was an accident at this point," Costa said.
