Officers still searching for suspect in Roseville homicide, victim Erica Wright was 41

Officers are still searching for a suspect after a woman was found dead inside a Roseville duplex early morning April 20, according to Placer County Sheriff's Office public information officer Angela Musallam. Placer County Sheriff's deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call shortly after midnight April 20 at a duplex on the 500 block of Livoti Avenue in Roseville, according to Musallam. When deputies entered the home, they found a 41-year-old woman who had died, according to the Placer County Sheriff's Office. The incident is still actively being investigated and detectives have determined the death to be a homicide, according to law enforcement. The Placer County Sheriff-Coroner Division identified the victim as 41-year-old Erica Marie Wright on April 21. Hundreds of posts sending love and prayers to Wright and her family have been made on the Placer County Sheriff's Office Facebook post. "You were always so kind to me and my kiddo," Stephanie Albaugh posted. "Alex always had the best time when he had sleepovers at your house. I remember how we used to laugh so hard cracking jokes while our boys played little league. We had a lot of laughs and I am so so sorry that this happened to you. You didn't deserve it and I hope he is caught soon!" Friends and family have placed flower bouquets and balloons outside Wright's home. "We love you Erica!" reads a note on a bouquet signed by Jenna and Amber Johnson. "You will be greatly missed. Forever and always in our hearts!!!" As of Thursday morning, a suspect has still not been identified or located, according to Musallam. "The neighborhood should remain vigilant and cautious as we still have not identified a suspect," Musallam said Thursday morning. Officers have not yet developed any leads and camera footage from neighbors has not yet revealed useful details, according to Musallam on Thursday morning. The Placer County Sheriff's Office asks residents who have any information that can help lead to the suspect's arrest to immediately call the office's homicide tip line at 530-889-7853. A cash reward is being offered through Crime Stoppers for any information leading to the suspect's arrest, Musallam said. Residents can submit their tip anonymously to 1-800-222-7463 or to www.crimealert.org. The Placer County Sheriff's Office cannot confirm additional details on the incident at this time because it is an active investigation, Musallam said Thursday morning. "I can confirm there was a resident inside the home with the victim when she was killed," Musallam said April 21. "That resident called 9-1-1 to report the deceased female." Janice Palomo, another neighbor who lives next to Wright's duplex, said police officers knocked on her door at about 1 a.m. April 21 to ask questions and search her backyard for a suspect. Last week, officers told Palomo they were looking for a white male who is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and wearing a hoodie, she said. Palomo said Wright lived in the duplex for about 10 years with a husband and two sons.
