Lions district governor makes home club of Colfax his 'first visitation'

After a 40-year career as an Amerigas supervisor, Tim Luckinbill has channeled all of his leadership skills and energy into his newly elected position of Lions Club district governor. Luckinbill has honed his skills over many years in Lionism. He has served as a zone chair, coaching six clubs, and region chair, coaching 12 clubs, in Placer and Nevada counties. In the larger 4C5 District, Luckinbill has served as first and second vice president. As district governor, he will oversee district projects and be a coach and advisor to 50 clubs in six counties in Northern California. Taking over his role as district governor on July 1, Luckinbill had the task of deciding which club in the district would receive his ceremonial "first visitation." Not pausing for long, Luckinbill recently made his first official club visit to his "home club" in Colfax. Addressing the Colfax club members, Luckinbill presented his priorities for his tenure as district governor. He stressed the importance of local clubs focusing on environmental issues and stated he will strive to keep local club members engaged in those activities and always ask, "What can we do as individuals as well as club members?"
