Craig Christensen 1949 - 2022

It is with heavy hearts that the Christensen family announces that Craig Christensen of Auburn has peacefully passed away recently. He was 73. Karen (Fong), his wife of 48 years was by his side. He was loved and will be deeply missed by his daughter Stephanie (Manny) and son Matthew (Catherine). His five grandchildren: Kai, Jaide, Justine, Raine and Judy were the lights of his life. His family was everything to him and he loved them more than anything. Craig was born to Jack and Donna Christensen in Idaho and grew up in Utah along with his brothers Rick and Dennis. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps and fought for our country in Vietnam. While attending college in CA, he met his beloved Karen on a blind date, and they have been together ever since. He began his successful career in San Jose in the semiconductor industry which eventually brought them to Granite Bay and then ultimately to Auburn where he and Karen resided for 34 years. Craig loved traveling, hiking, being outdoors and playing golf. In fact, many would recognize him from his tenure at Black Oak Golf Course. His outgoing and entertaining personality will be remembered by all who have met him. Craig was predeceased by his parents Jack and Donna. He is survived by his wife Karen, children Stephanie and Matthew, his five grandchildren, his two brothers and many friends. A Celebration of Life is planned for mid-August.
