Folsom Jr. Bulldogs vs. Inderkum Jr. Tigers Saturday 9/24 Jr. Peewees Folsom 18, Inderkum 8 The JPW football team played good football Saturday against the Inderkum Tigers at Livermore field. The team was led by the Dawgs' offense and Jordan Cruz. It was a close game through the first half. Braxton Pena had his debut as quarterback and rushed for three touchdowns. The Bulldogs defense played well against a stingy Tiger wing-T offense. The Tigers had one breakthrough run up the middle for a touchdown. The Bullpups won the game 18-8. This week the Bullpups will prepare to travel to Oak Ridge and play the Trojans again. Go Dawgs! Peewees Folsom 40, Inderkum 0 Midgets Folsom 56, Inderkum 7 Folsom Jr. Bulldogs vs. San Jose Hit Squad Jr. Midgets San Jose 32, Folsom 22 The Jr. Midget Bulldogs traveled down to the Bay Area Saturday to face the San Jose Hit Squad. Folsom came up short on the scoreboard against a much larger opponent, but came out a better team and ready for a deep playoff run. Defensive linemen, Elijah Williams, Jalen Pierce, Javion Dorsett, Sam Matalucci & Corbin Batten had their hands full with the Hit Squad O-line, who easily out-weighed them by as much as 100 pound each. Adjusting at halftime, the Bulldog defense didn't allow a score for the remainder of the game. Mason Truhar and Jaden Angel moved the chains with big catches, along with Bronson Bambino, who led the ground attack. QB Isaiah Abila hooked up with Marcel Davis and Braxton Martinez for two TDs of 50-plus yards, but didn't have time to recover off two defensive scores from San Jose. The Dogs feel comfortable they'll be victorious in a rematch with the Hit Squad next fall.
