Big SPLASH for Roseville coming Sept. 13

Do you have your tickets for SPLASH (Roseville's biggest party of the year, Saturday, Sept. 13 at the Roseville Aquatics Complex) yet? If so, thank you for supporting this event; if not, the deadline to purchase the tickets for $70 per person has been extended to Friday.After that date, the price increases to $85. SPLASH is an evening under the stars that will feature fine wines, ice-cold beer and an assortment of non-alcoholic beverages for your enjoyment. More than 40 restaurants will be participating along with 15 local artists. Music will be provided by VibroCount as you enter the party, inside listen to the Harmonics Steeldrum Band as you mingle tasting the food and beverages, and finally, back by popular demand, for your dancing delight will be the 80z All Stars.For your convenience, tickets may be purchased online at www.rosevillechamber.com, in our office located at 650 Douglas Blvd, Mahany Sports Center, Sir Speedy Printing, Maidu Community Center and the city of Roseville Parks and Recreation office. Proceeds from the SPLASH will be shared with the city of Roseville and the Chamber's building fund. Again this year the city is designating their funds to construct parks designed to be universally accessible to meet the needs for all children.By now everyone knows that Roseville will be 100 years old in 2009 and as part of the celebration we will have a float in the Rose Parade; want to ride on it? If so, mark your calendar for Tuesday, Sept. 30 when the Chamber will be holding an auction that coincides with our third quarter Table Top Mixer under the tent at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center located at 1600 Eureka Road. We will have silent auction items displayed during the Mixer and the live auction will begin at 7 p.m. Professional auctioneer Gary Wendell will be on hand to auction off several items, including a seat on Roseville's entry in the Rose Parade. Radio personality Jim Hall will provide the master of ceremonies for the event, which is free and open to the public.
