Marvin Lancaster Merrill 9/16/1926 - 11/4/2022

Marvin Merrill passed away peacefully on November 4, 2022 in Roseville, CA. Marvin was born in Granbury Texas to William and Edna Merrill. Beloved husband of 57 years to Mona L Merrill (deceased). Marvin loved his family and is survived by his children Kimberly Merrill Ortiz (Gerry), Jason Merrill (Kathi), grandchildren Maegan Jorgensen (Bentley), Donald Rogers (Rachel), Danielle Ehmke (Josh), Janikka Aitken (James), Jordan Merrill (Timea), step grandson Jeremy Ortiz (deceased) (Kim), great grandchildren Tre, Zoey, Elijah, Amelia, Nora, Samuel, Candice, Madyson and Brooklynn. Marvin served in the Marine Corp during the Korean war and also attended West Texas State (Texas Tech). Marvin was a longtime resident of Folsom, CA where he moved in 1957. He had a successful career at Aerojet for 30 years where he was a machinist building for the space program. He was active in the community coaching Little League and serving as an umpire. He and Mona frequented the Lake Bowl and were avid bowlers. After his retirement he pursued a degree at American River College and obtained his Certified Nurseryman status. Marvin was an excellent Cribbage Player. Marvin moved to Roseville, CA in 2010 where he enjoyed living in the Roseville Commons Retirement Community. Marvin was a friend to all and was always thought of as very kind. A private memorial and burial will be held at Bayside Adventure Christian Church and Morgan Oaks Eternal Preserve.
