Possible bar fight leaves one dead

Police are looking at a possible bar brawl as the reason for a hit-and-run accident that left a Sacramento man dead and a Folsom man injured.At 1:40 a.m. early Sunday morning, the Folsom Police Department responded to a report at City Slickers Bar that a man had been hit by a vehicle in the parking lot. The vehicle then fled the scene, according to witnesses.Folsom Fire pronounced the man dead at the scene.He has been identified as John Sandler, 44, of Sacramento.At almost 2 a.m., another call came into the police department reporting that a man had been assaulted outside of City Slickers. The call was placed by the man's daughter-in-law, according to reports.When officers arrived, they found a vehicle parked outside the residence matching the description of the one involved in the City Slickers incident.The man suffered from injuries requiring medical attention and was transported to a local hospital.The Folsom Police Major Accident Response Team (MART) is investigating the collision.
