Lake Forest Wines uncorks new shop in Folsom

Red, white and zin are ready to be sipped in Folsom.Raj Sachdeva, 37, of El Dorado Hills, has owned and operated Lake Forest Wines with his family at 2222 Francisco Drive in El Dorado Hills since 2000, and is expanding to 1300 East Bidwell St. in Folsom."We always wanted to come to Folsom," Sachdeva said.Sachdeva said he plans to hold a grand opening at the new location in Folsom Thursday, May 6, through Saturday, May 8, with a tasting on Thursday and Saturday."We are excited," he said. "We have picked a good location."Both stores will carry a variety of fine wines specializing in California wines, beer and spirits."Folsom doesn't have a place like this that caters to a certain cliental that wants fine wines," he said. "We are doing well with business and expansion never hurt. There is a need for this market."Sachdeva said the family owned business has worked to create a friendly and personal atmosphere in the El Dorado Hills store and plans to do the same in Folsom. Still he said his El Dorado Hills clients will continue to feel the same customer service they expect."The biggest challenge is that this business is very personalized," he said.
