New Loomis Starbucks set to open doors June 8

The new, improved Loomis Starbucks coffee shop on Horseshoe Bar Road is scheduled to open on June 8. The current Starbucks Store number 07928 in the Loomis Raley's shopping center at 6099 Horseshoe Bar Road is moving to the nearby, former Burger King outlet at 6075 Horseshoe Bar Road. The building was retrofitted with extensive renovations in recent months. In operation for 27 years, the Loomis Burger King opened in 1996, according to news archives. The existing Starbucks will be closed next Tuesday, said Loomis Starbucks spokesperson Cheyenne Glashan this week. Both shops will be closed for two days to move operations, with a grand opening at the new outlet on June 8, according to Glashan. Starbucks signage was installed Tuesday, reported Loomis Basin Chamber of Commerce Manager K.D. Molnar. Starbucks is a Loomis Basin chamber member. The company is taking applications for both full-time and part-time baristas at the location, according to the Snag-a-job web page this week. The advertisement announced verified pay will be $16 to $18.16 per hour. Starbucks is the largest coffee company in the world, with $33 billion in annual revenue in 2022. It boasts 34,000 outlets worldwide, with about 18 or so coffee shops in the city of Roseville alone. The city of Rocklin features at least 11 Starbucks', according to Google Search. Auburn has seven Starbucks' listed, including North Auburn. According to an internal analysis, one source of Starbucks runaway success is excellent customer service. The company also differentiates itself by creating a "third home" value. In addition to home and work, the company pushes a welcoming, warm location for customers to drink coffee, according to Investopedia.com. "Starbucks is always looking for great locations to better meet the needs of our customers, and we are happy to confirm that we will be opening a new location on June 8 at 6075 Horseshoe Bar Road in Loomis, Ca," said Starbucks National spokesperson Lauren Bushnell in an email Tuesday. Starbucks has been making national news headlines lately with a growing union movement among workers. For example, workers at the downtown Sacramento Starbucks at 7th and K streets voted 11-2 last month to unionize, becoming the 300th Starbucks outlet to do so.
