Loomis Basin Chamber of Commerce's new director 'endeared' with the town

The quality of Loomis schools, its central location and the beauty of its surroundings brought K.D. Molnar and her family to Loomis in 2022. To become involved in the community and to promote her graphic design services, Molnar joined the Loomis Basin Chamber of Commerce. Now, Molnar has become the lone staff member at the Loomis Chamber. In January, the organization's board appointed Molnar to serve as chamber director, a part-time position that had been vacant since last fall. Molnar said her primary role at the chamber is to be "a helpful and positive partner to the business members and connect them with everyone I can: a new customer, a new vendor, their next landlord or a business partner." She also strives to provide information to members of the public who seek answers about Loomis, from where to locate a service provider to what's happening in town. It's not just businesses and townspeople who she can bring together, Molnar said, but the nonprofit and service organizations as well. "The networking opportunities the chamber creates is one of my favorite aspects of the job," Molnar said. Ashley Summers, Loomis Basin Chamber of Commerce president, said the chamber board is excited to welcome Molnar to the chamber team. "She brings business management and graphic design experience that has already positively impacted our relationship with the community and our chamber's ability to provide more tools to our members," Summers said. Soon after moving to Loomis from Orangevale with her husband and four children, Molnar said, she became "endeared" with the community as a whole. They were drawn to local events, unique shops and how the town remembers its agricultural roots. "I am so appreciative of the way we have preserved our history," Molnar said. "That legacy is so important to celebrate and protect as we embrace the progress happening in our community." The chamber board of directors have been helpful and supportive of her ideas and efforts, according to Molnar. "I'm so grateful they saw my passion for Loomis and its businesses and brought me on," Molnar said. While Molnar might be new to the community, Summers said, "It feels like she's been here a lifetime. We are very fortunate to have such a talented addition that will truly be a constant in our office and community."
