Mark Emory Walker 9/30/1961 - 8/15/2022

Mark Emory Walker passed away in the early morning hours on August 15 th , 2022 at Sutter Hospital in Sacramento, CA. His loving wife of 32 years, Harriet, and his only son, Cody, held him close as he left this Earth. Mark was only 61 years old. Born on September 30, 1961 on Edward's Air Force Base in Edwards, CA to Lawrence Walker and Lynda Walker (now Helm), Mark was the second of three children. He moved to Germany with his parents and older sister in May of 1962. The following year, the family returned to Woodside in the San Francisco Bay Area until Mark was a teenager. The remainder of his life was spent in Lincoln, CA where he grew to call home. Mark enjoyed tinkering around his shop and finding new projects to work on. On any given day, you could find him enjoying a Corona and pulling something apart (he would, eventually, put it back together). Mark loved panning for gold and grilling a good steak. He was the king of dad jokes, aka "Mark Jokes." He found joy in simple pleasures, which makes sense, because he was a simple man. His family always came first, and he was the type of friend who would drop what he was doing to pull you out of any rut you found yourself in. As Mark's mother recalls, "Mark had another talent which was a propensity to befriend everyone who walked near his path of life. He was selfless and had the ability to make everyone feel like they were important. He gave his all to anyone who needed help." She continued, "As a youngster, he was incredibly talented with his mechanical ability and spent his time building forts and fixing things. As he grew up his talents increased to the point where it was believed there was nothing he couldn't fix if broken. He was a brilliant scholar with a very high IQ, getting straight A's in school. Not only did he have a mechanical mind, but Mark was also exceptionally artistically talented; he recently completed his first clay sculpture." Mark is survived by his beautiful wife, Harriet; his daughters, Valerie (Matt) Gliatto and Tiffanie (Rodney) Nickaloff; his son, Cody (Sabrina) Walker; mother and step-father, Lynda and Bob Helm; older sister Sherri Sands; younger sister Colleen (Tad) Burnett; grandchildren: Silver, Brody, Rodney Jr., Jordan, Gracie, Jackson, and Levi; great grandson Mark; niece, Kaleena; and nephew, Justin.
