Ralph Edmondson 5/21/1929 - 10/8/2023

Mr. Ralph Jackson Edmondson age 94 of Lake Cove Lodge Rd. Blairsville, GA. Passed away peacefully on Sunday October 8, 2023 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Edmondson was born on May 21, 1929 in Cleveland GA., the son of the late Fred Watson Edmondson and the late Effie Free Edmondson. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Core / USAF of WWII and the Korean War having served over twenty two years of service for his country. Ralph was a member of the Goldhill Masonic Lodge #32 in Lincoln, CA. Lodge. He loved cars, motorcycles and was a licensed HAM radio enthusiast. He loved people and was a regular at the Hole in The Wall and the Huddle House. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Ila Jean Patterson Edmondson, also his brother, Raymond Edmondson, two grandsons, Joshua Edmondson and Alan Stinebrickner and a granddaughter, Amanda Meyer. Ralph was of the Baptist faith. Surviving Mr. Edmondson are one daughter, Rhonda Edmondson of Blairsville, two sons and daughters in law, Russell and Marjorie Edmondson of Murphy, Ron and Kathy Edmondson of Blairsville, one brother and sister in law, Frank and Janice Edmondson of Clayton, GA, two sisters, Rosalee Marchman of Atlanta, Frances Radford of Murphy, nine grandchildren, H.D. Mansur, Kristen Goodman, Dakota Evan, Mindy Newman, Michelle Edmondson, Michael Edmondson, Robert Lyons, Amber Lyons, Kimberly Bourgeious, Savannah Bourgeious and Sarah Seelman, several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive. A Visitation was held on Thursday October 12, 2023 from 6-9:00 pm from the Mountain View Funeral Home. Interment and graveside services will be held at a later date in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honor by the North GA Honor Guard.
