John M. Keever 12/10/1948-11/20/2023

Beloved father and husband John Keever passed away peacefully in Yountville, California on November 20, 2023. John was born, John Marvin Keever on December 10th 1948 in San Luis Obispo, California. The family (Nell, Marvin, Kathryn, Karol and Bill) moved around California for father Marvin's profession, settling in Napa, California where John graduated from Napa High School in 1966. John attended University at the California Maritime Academy, graduating in 1970, Division "1-D" serving as Corps of Cadets Commander followed by a Master of Public Administration. John spent most of his career at the California Maritime Academy, where he initially earned the position of professor and officer on the Training Ship Golden Bear. John was promoted to Master of the Training Ship and eventually Vice President of Student Services where some of his greatest impacts were felt. John was devoted to his family, spending many weekends at horse events with daughter Carson or football games with son Scott in Auburn, California. John adored his wife Lynden, and they shared many adventures together over their 44 years of marriage. John was loved by all who knew him and will be truly missed.
