Sacramento man arrested with ghost gun, fentanyl in Folsom

A Sacramento man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of various firearm and narcotic charges. Folsom Police officers were dispatched to the area of Broadstone Parkway and E Bidwell Street at 10 p.m. for a suspicious vehicle that was called in by a citizen. According to the police department, a search of the vehicle revealed a handmade gun, referred to as a ghost gun due to not having serial numbers and being difficult to trace, and fentanyl. The driver, identified as Mark Cole, 37, was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail. According to the arrest log, Cole was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, vehicle registration fraud, possession of a controlled substance, altering a firearm's identification information and driving without a license. Cole was released from custody Monday. Folsom Police confirmed this is the second ghost gun seizure in less than a week. The first seizure was on Jan. 2 following a vehicle stop in the area of Wales Drive and E Bidwell Street. Joseph Sixtoe, a 41-year-old Sacramento transient and confirmed felon, was arrested for the ghost gun possession and an outstanding warrant.
