PCOE employee named Rising Star for 2024

The California School Public Relations Association (CalSPRA) selected Kelsey Bonnet, communications technician for the Placer County Office of Education, as a 2024 CalSPRA Rising Star. CalSPRA is a statewide organization that promotes better public understanding, commitment and support of public education. Their annual awards program recognizes superior achievement in meeting strategic goals through high-quality communications and public relations programs. Further, it serves to honor contributions to the school public relations profession and the CalSPRA organization and its members. Rising Star award recipients are selected by the CalSPRA Executive Board from nominated members. Awardees are individuals with less than five years experience, who show significant promise in school communications and are expected to continue advancing in the profession. "It is extremely exciting to honor Kelsey Bonnet with the Rising Star award," said CalSPRA President Jessica Hull. "CalSPRA members across California help lead our school communities through a variety of challenges, providing effective communication in the face of uncertainty and polarization.
