Benjamin Webber 10/3/1990 - 4/7/2024

Benjamin Matthew Webber was born on October 3, 1990 in Ventura, California and passed away at age 33 on April 7, 2024 in Eugene, Oregon. Growing up Ben lived in Ventura and Newcastle, California. He loved Harry Potter books and spending time with his dog, Roxy. After visiting Yellowstone Park in his early twenties on vacation he knew that it was a place he wanted to work at and explore. He spent several years working in and around Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons, including time as a Sous Chef at Jenny Lake Lodge. During these years he made many friends who all reflect on their time spent with Ben as special and recall him as a gentle, kind, and funny soul. It was the mountains that Ben loved hiking in that kept him in the area, eventually working in Big Sky near Bozeman, Montana. He could frequently be found with a camera in hand and a backpack, out on an adventure. After returning to California for a short stay, he moved to Oregon to continue working in the restaurant industry. He worked his way up to Chef & Kitchen Manager at The Pedaler, a local restaurant in Springfield, Oregon, where he continued to work until his passing. During his time there, Ben was a valued employee who helped design the menu and keep the restaurant open during the Pandemic. Those who knew Ben would tell you that he had the sweetest smile and the biggest hugs. He loved and was loved by his family including his nieces and nephews. Ben is survived by his parents Michael and Teresa Webber, his siblings Andrew (Antonia), Chris (Shantelle), and Melissa (Tyrel), and his nieces and nephews Justin, Emma Lee, Ryder, and Poppy and numerous other family and friends. A public celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 28 at 2:00 pm at the Live Oak Event Center, 4195 Pacific St. Rocklin, CA. Flowers can be sent to this location.
