Name: Kevin LewinAge: 29 Residence: Lincoln Occupation: System engineerWhat college did you get your master's from?Drexel University. I went for five quarters or 15 months. I got my master's in information systems in March 2010. Information systems is a different perspective and different philosophy, and there's a big social aspect to it I didn't understand as well before (taking classes.)What was unique about your graduation?I was the first on-campus Sacramento student from Drexel University to graduate. Drexel is based out of Philadelphia and they have a Sacramento center for graduate students at the base of Tower Bridge in Sacramento. I was the only full-time student in the program. It's cool to be the first graduate.What was it like working and going to school full time?I had to sacrifice weekends and late nights. It definitely wasn't easy but I don't regret doing it. What are you planning to do with your degree?I hope it'll take my career to the next level so I can pursue bigger opportunities and eventually be the chief information officer of a corporation. Right now I'd like to get into a director role, like director of engineering.What do you like about what you do for a living?What I do now is cool because I'm the expert customers rely on to translate goals and ideas for real technical plans. I have a strong communication ability that allows me to speak to different audiences. I'm the face of my company to the customers and I organize weekly communications and delegate work to other people in the organization.What do you like to do in your free time?I like to go backpacking in Yosemite and King's Canyon. I haven't been able to do that lately so I'm hoping to make it out there at least twice this summer.
