Ann Gailbreath 6/17/1927 - 7/9/2024

Ann Williams Gailbreath passed away peacefully at the age of 97 on July 9, 2024. She was born in Sacramento, CA in 1927 and lived in Auburn for all her life, apart from a brief time when she and her husband Richard (Dick) lived in Shaker Heights, OH. She attended Auburn Schools through graduation from Placer High School in 1945. She attended Lux College in San Francisco, CA and Placer Junior College. After her marriage to Richard (Dick) Thomas Gailbreath in 1950 they started a family. She helped form the cooperative Nursery School held at the Methodist Church in the early 1950's and participated in the Lincoln Way Elementary School Mother Singers choral group. She sang in the Church Choir at the First Congregational Church for most of her adult life, finally retiring in 2021 at the age of 93. In the early 1970's she decided to complete her education attending Sierra College and transferring to Sacramento State University. Throughout her life she was an avid seamstress and crafter, and gardener. She also enjoyed traveling between Auburn CA and Darby MT to spend summer and fall until 2003 when she and her husband sold their second home. She is preceded in death by her father George W. Williams, her mother Gladys M. Williams, her brother George W. Williams and her husband Richard (Dick) Thomas Gailbreath. She is survived by her three children Nora Pastrick (Mike) of Concord CA, Sara Latapie of Auburn CA, Tom Gailbreath (Sheri) of Nevada City CA, grandchildren Boone Latapie of Washington DC, Courtney Pastrick Cronk (Kevin) of Petaluma CA, Corey Gailbreath of Nevada City CA, Nick Gailbreath (Darcy) of Sacramento CA, Richard Pastrick (Alicia) and three great-grandchildren Rowen, Corvin and Vivienne of Seattle WA. She will be interred in the family plot at a date to be determined.
